Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following,
- Providing technical support at customer site to back up sales staff and customers.
- Technical supports includes product recommendations, on site technical problem resolution, quality issue resolution.
- Direct contact with principal’s (manufacturers) product engineer (or product manager) to reflect customer’s technical issue, and working as a bridge between customer and principal
- Responsible for product specification and technical/quality questionnaires from by customers, then confirming final proper solution best fit to customer’s applications
- Collecting and compiling product performance data at end customers
- Occasional travel to visit and/or contact customers together with sales manager to determine their need for new products and/or features.
- Working with sales team to understand competing solution in the market, and advantages/disadvantages of each.
- Assisting sales manager to prepare product speech in seminar/academic meeting/tradeshow/customer meeting, which includes comparative analysis document with competitive product and gathering product relevant reference articles/product pictures.
- Direct contact with principal’s (manufacturers) product engineer (or product manager) to determine the feasibility of specific new products, and customized products.
Successful candidates for this position will have,
- Bachelor in Photonics related subject, Physics, Electronic or Electrical Engineering or Fiberoptics Telecommunication or above.
- Ability to think and execute tasks independently
- Is able to listen actively, to communicate clearly, to cope with conflicts and to initiate solutions
- Excellent English proficiency, both oral and written (preferred CETC 8)
- Working experience in Photoelectricity, Telecommunication or Laser field is a plus.
